Classroom Rewards
Our school participates in the PBIS program. At East Side, students are required to follow the Good GOGS matrix for appropriate behavior inside and outside of the classroom. This matrix can be found in your child's handbook which is located in the front of their agenda book. At the beginning of the school year, I clearly explain classroom rules and procedures so that students understand and know what is expected from them. Positive behavior will be praised, appreciated, and rewarded.
Students will have opportunities to earn tickets throughout each week. Students receive tickets for attendance, exceptional conduct, completed homework, and for having their assignment notebook signed. These tickets may be used to purchase items from the classroom store.
This ticket program is meant to assist students in monitoring their own behavior and in teaching responsibility. Therefore, students may lose a ticket by choosing to break classroom rules or by failing to turn in home work assignments.
